Trends in the replacement of imported products in Russia are gaining turnover, and imports of wine are shrinking, due to which there will be interest in the production of wine inside the country.

Suppliers of specialized equipment for vineyards mark the growth of sales of their products, and the number of companies registered under the code OKVED 11.02, carrying out the production of wine, constantly increases

Particular attention is paid to the quality and safety of alcoholic beverages, including spicy and quiet (canteen) wines produced in Russia. Spicy wines must comply with the requirements of GOST R 51158-2009. For dining wines also provided a number of requirements specified in GOST 32030-2013.

Technologies and stages of wine production

Wine production takes place in 2 stages:

  • primary wine: collection and processing of raw materials, crushing, pressing, fermentation of wort, hardening and processing of wine materials;

  • secondary wine: processing of wine materials, lighting, pouring, blending. Further stabilization, filtration and dissolution are produced.

For the production of some types of wine, additional types of processing are required, such as heat or cold processing, introduction of additives, etc.

Against the background of constant growth in alcohol prices, there is an increase in the number of private wine companies engaged in small-scale production. The products of such companies are used in demand among appraisers and are rarely delivered to restaurants dressed with wine of well-known brands.

Private winemakers often use old recipes and are able to offer consumers a truly unique product. Some of these small enterprises operate only in the local market, some supply limited series to customers throughout Russia and even export their products. As a rule, these suppliers work in the premium price segment.

Large producers who produce wine

The main wine centers in Russia are located in the Southern and North Caucasus federal districts. More than 60% of grape plantations are located in Krasnodar Krai. Stavropol Krai, Rostov Oblast, as well as the Republics of Crimea and Dagestan follow.

Many Russian wine companies use imported wine materials. The largest suppliers of wine and wine raw materials in the Russian Federation are Spain and South Africa, as well as a number of countries in the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe.

Production of canteen wine in Russia is carried out in the order of 80 wineries. The leaders of the production are the companies "Ariant", "Gatchina distillery", "Phanagoria", "Trade House Victoria", "Kuban wine" and a number of other large factories.

Also in the territory of the Russian Federation are registered about 40 companies engaged in the production of toy wine, but almost half of all products are produced by 4 large enterprises: CJSC "Igristye Vina", ZAO "Ibr", ZAO "Ibr" "Vilash".

The main regions-consumers of canteen are the Central, Volga and North-West federal districts. Spicy wine is most actively consumed in the Central, Volga, Siberian and North-Western districts. The region with traditionally low consumption of wine and alcohol products as a whole is the North Caucasus Federal District.

Export of Russian wine remains at a low level - it is possible to explain that the neighboring countries have their own resources of wine. The main foreign consumers of wine from Russia are the CIS countries.
