The 31st�edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment, Technologies, Raw Materials and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry��Agroprodmash 2026��took place from 28 September through 1 October 2026 in Pavilion 3 of Crocus Expo, Moscow, Russia.

Agroprodmash 2026 has confirmed its status as a key networking platform for the food processing industry. The show once again presented the entire production chain from raw materials and ingredients to the production of finished products, their packaging, quality assessment, cooling, and storage.

According to the Russian National Exhibition Rating, Agroprodmash is this country’s best exhibition in all nominations in the Food Industry: Equipment and Ingredients category.

The new Ready-to-Eat Food Factory project welcomed 109 companies, which presented equipment and ingredients.

Chinese manufacturers are the leaders among foreign participants as 152 companies presented equipment and ingredients for all branches of the food industry. Other countries with large representation were Turkiye (24 companies), Belarus (22 companies), and Italy (18 companies).

Russian regional stands and pavilions presented developments of Russian companies as brands of their respective region. By supporting the business in this way, the regional authorities guarantee its reliability and quality. In addition, the promotion of enterprises in the domestic and foreign markets contributes to the development of the region\'s economy.

Yulia Prikhodko, Head at the Krasnodar Krai\'s Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity Department,�called�Agroprodmash 2026 one of the most effective platforms for promoting the region\'s export potential and expanding sales markets for Kuban goods in Russia. “Over the past two years, contracts for supplies to the CIS and EAEU countries have been signed here in the amount of more than 475 thousand US dollars," she said.

Key topics and new products

The industry of ready meals.�Taking into account the growing consumer demand for ready meals, we have launched a large-scale project called Ready-to-Eat Food Factory. It welcomed 109 companies, which presented equipment and ingredients for this segment. The topic was continued with the Forum on Strategic Challenges of Agribusiness: Ready-to-Eat Food, and the new Contract Expo business meeting programme, designed to help purchasers of retail chains and industries to select relevant equipment and technological solutions.

Automation and robotics.�The show presented robotic complexes, collaborative robots, machine vision systems, automated packaging and warehouse solutions, software and hardware complexes for production management. The integration of such equipment is aimed at compensating for personnel shortages, increasing productivity, and ensuring quality consistency in production.

The visitors could evaluate the equipment in operation, compare samples from different manufacturers, and choose the best solutions from a line to a machine, unit or part.

Solutions for small and medium businesses.�The exhibits included compact mini-workshops for processing meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, fruit, milk, cereals, as well as mini-wineries. This format allows small farms to process raw materials independently, increasing the profitability of their business.

Key product sectors

The show has kept its well-defined structure in 2026.

Hall 15: equipment for processing meat, poultry and fish; casings; refrigerating and freezing equipment. More than 130 companies from 10 countries presented solutions for the upgrade of meat processing plants and the creation of new capacities.

Hall 14: packaging solutions, automation and robotics, warehouse, weighing and measuring equipment, sanitation and hygiene, food safety, waste recycling, components. 161 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, and Turkiye presented packaging equipment and materials for all segments of the food industry, including solutions for ready meals.

Hall 13: bakery and confectionery equipment, equipment for milk processing and production of dairy products and ice cream, bottling and production of beverages, processing of vegetables and fruit. There were more than 200 companies.

Hall 18: food ingredients, additives, spices, and functional mixtures. Over 250 brands demonstrated solutions from European, Asian and Russian suppliers of food additives and spices.

The experts taking part in the�Forum on Strategic Challenges of Agribusiness: Ready-to-Eat Food�discussed such key issues as demand, technology, and practical strategies for the ready-to-eat market.

The�10th�Forum on Food Processing Machinery�was organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia, and EXPOCENTRE AO. It brought together experts to discuss the prospects of localization and support for Russian equipment manufacturers. Konstantin Babkin, President at the Rosspetsmash Association, said moderating the forum: “The share of Russian equipment in the market remains at almost 52%. This is a serious success that inspires respect for those who work in the Russian production of food machinery.”

The Conference on Robots in the Food Industry. The Code of Security and Profitability�was dedicated to the transition from single robotic cells to integrated solutions for food production: technological lines in which equipment, robots, machine vision systems, software, production data and personnel work as a single system. The event’s programme included a partner panel on turnkey robotic lines, a strategic session called ‘from a line to a digital factory’, and a case study session for customers on stacking and packaging, palletizing, machine vision, and in-house logistics.

The experts participating in the�Forum on Innovative Technologies and Equipment in the Dairy Industry�discussed changing consumer behavior, price dynamics, latest analytics of the dairy market, as well as advanced technological solutions and automation tools for dairy processing enterprises.

A direct dialogue between business and researchers served as the basis for the Forums on�the Ingredients Industry: Regulations, Technological Challenges, Research and Innovation, and on�Bakery and Confectionery Industry \'Bread Business’, and the Conferences on�Raw Materials for Confectionery Production in the Context if Import Substitution. Problems and Solutions, and on�Instrumental Analysis Methods for Solving Fundamental and Applied Problems of the Current Food And Confectionery Industry.�

At�the Conference on the Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for the Food Processing Industry, Yuri Dubrovin, Chair at the Board of Rossoyuzkholodprom, Academician of the International Academy of Refrigeration, outlined an important problem for the industry, which is the impending shortage of refrigerants. The participants discussed legal restrictions on substances regulated by the Montreal Protocol and the transition to natural refrigerants.

EXPOCENTRE and Soyuznapitki � the Union of Juice, Water and Beverage Producers organised the�Panel Discussion on the Prospects for the Development of Technologies and Innovations in the Russian Beverage Industry�to talk about technological equipment of the industry, supply of manufacturers with equipment, and development of a domestic industrial cluster for the needs of the beverage industry.

The first edition of the�Conference on Sanitation in Food Production: Practice, Trends, Science�was organised by EXPOCENTRE and the Agro-Industrial Unions Association.

Another new event of this year was be the�Contract Expo business meeting programme. It was designed to help purchasers of retail chains and industries that are most actively developing ready-to-eat food to select equipment and technological solutions.

The conference programme also featured a series of�masterclasses�of Bread Baking Academy of Russian State Research Institute of Baking Industry.

Both visitors and exhibitors expressed their interest in the Workshop on Confirming the Production of Russian Industrial Products in Accordance with PP RF No. 719: Expert Appraisal by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Specifics, Current Practice.

Innovation in beverage industry

The Panel Discussion on the Prospects for the Development of Technologies and Innovations in the Russian Beverage Industry has opened within the conference program of�Agroprodmash 2026. The event is organised by Soyuznapitki � the Union of Juice, Water and Beverage Producers and EXPOCENTRE AO.

Soyuznapitki is the largest non-profit association of juice, water and beverage producers in the Russian market. The union consists of 80 companies, which account for more than 70% of the volume of products produced in the Russian beverage market. The union consists of both manufacturers of finished products and suppliers of raw materials and ingredients, packaging, equipment and technological solutions, as well as companies from the field of logistics and personnel management.

The soft drinks sector continues to be one of the most technologically advanced in the food processing industry. Large investments have been made in the industry for more than 20 years. Today, Russian enterprises produce high-quality and safe world-class products that not only meet the needs of the domestic market, but are also actively exported to foreign markets.

Market participants today agree that in order to maintain the pace of development of the Russian beverage industry and overcome the general economic crisis, it is important to respond promptly to emerging challenges and create favorable conditions for business development. Effective solutions for refrigeration industry

The second day of�Agroprodmash 2026�opened with the Conference on the Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for the Food Processing Industry, organised by Rossoyuzkholodprom � the Russian Union of Refrigeration Enterprises and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The conference participants discuss the selection and operation of refrigeration equipment at industrial refrigeration facilities such as food processing plants, warehouses, and stores with centralized refrigeration systems.

The event is moderated by�Yuri Dubrovin, Chair at the Board of Rossoyuzkholodprom, Academician of the International Academy of Refrigeration. Before the start of the discussion, he held an awarding ceremony for employees of the Union\'s enterprises who received awards from the Russia Ministry of Industry and Trade and Rossoyuzkholodprom.

In his opening speech, Yuri Dubrovin outlined an important problem for the industry, which is the impending shortage of refrigerants conforming to the Montreal Protocol signed by our country.

“In two years, Russia will be able to introduce only about 5,000 metric tons of all the refrigerants that we require,” the speaker said. “However, Russia\'s demand is from 11 to 12 thousand metric tons. That is, starting in 2029, the country will lack half of the refrigerants that run all of the country\'s refrigeration equipment. The whole world has been preparing for this situation since 2015. Unfortunately, we have not."

There were reports on current topics such as the upcoming legislative restrictions of the Russian Federation on the use of substances regulated by the Montreal Protocol used in refrigeration equipment, the possibilities of switching to natural refrigerants in various sectors of refrigeration technology, new products and technologies of manufacturers of refrigeration equipment, and much more.

Representatives of leading refrigeration companies talked about how to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of refrigeration equipment, and shared successful cases.

The conference was attended by representatives of the food industry, agriculture, wholesale and retail trade.

Forum on Food Processing Machinery 2026

The Forum on Food Processing Machinery opened within�Agroprodmash 2026. The event is organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia, and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The forum annually brings together equipment manufacturers, industry experts, representatives of the food industry, and government authorities. It is a platform for an open professional dialogue about the state of the market, the problems of manufacturers, and practical measures necessary for the further development of Russian-made food machinery.

Key issues of industry development, such as government support measures, technological development, localization, main challenges of the industry, and much more, are discussed at the Plenary Session on Food Processing Machinery 2026: How Does the Industry Feel Now and What to Expect in the Future?

The thematic Session on Human Resources and Digital Recipes: Robots, AI and Automation as New Ingredients of the Industry is dedicated to AI, and digitalization and automation of production. The participants discuss the prospects for the introduction of new technologies, their impact on the efficiency of enterprises, and the possibilities of using domestic solutions.

Konstantin Babkin, President at the Rosspetsmash Association, moderated the forum. In his speech, he focused on the current state of the food machinery market. He noted that the forum is taking place at a dynamically developing trade show, which is a platform for negotiations, signing of deals, and discussions of the industry’s prospects.

“As the Rosspetsmash Association and as the food engineering forum, we are dedicated to analyzing what is happening and making our people\'s work more productive and our equipment more convenient and efficient. So that the food was delicious, people earned money, the economy developed, and we confidently moved forward together. Therefore, our task today is to discuss where we are and what awaits us, and formulate proposals to the government and society that will allow development to proceed even more confidently and dynamically,” said Konstantin Babkin.

According to the Association, the production of food processing machines in Russia grew from 2020 to 2025. Konstantin Babkin called this an outstanding result against the background of related industries such as road construction and agricultural engineering, where the growth of 2020-2023 was replaced by a noticeable decline. At the same time, a decline is also observed in the food machinery industry as in the first nine months of 2026, production decreased by about 10% compared to the same period last year, and exports decreased by 9%. “At the same time, the share of Russian equipment in the market remains at almost 52%. This is a serious success that inspires respect for those who work in the Russian production of food machinery,” said the head of Rosspetsmash.

Ilya Orsik, Deputy Head at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Construction Engineering at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, welcomed the participants on behalf of the Ministry and noted that out of more than 700 exhibitors about 520 represent the Russian Federation.

“This shows that the potential that our machine builders have been accumulating for many years is already being realised in practice. Russian engineering, especially for food and processing industries, is the driver that we will continue to develop, because we see the effect. High-quality and affordable food products are produced using high-quality Russian equipment, and this trade show is proof of this,” said Ilya Orsik.

The representative of the ministry also noted that the share of Russian equipment in a number of sub-sectors was high. However, there are segments where foreign equipment has historically prevailed and where domestic manufacturers have yet to enter. The trend towards a change in the situation has been observed since 2022 as the production of Russian equipment is growing. “The year 2022 has cleared the market of so-called partners, and many holdings and enterprises that are fully focused on foreign equipment have turned to Russian machine builders. The trend of recent years shows that it was absolutely the right choice. The share of Russian equipment is adjusted in some periods, but it is growing in general, and this primarily indicates its quality and availability,” he stressed. According to Ilya Orsik, imports have recovered, and China\'s share in it is increasing, but in the niches occupied by Russian manufacturers after the departure of foreign brands, domestic equipment is already competitive, and the ministry is ready to support it with government support measures.

Ilya Orsik also said that in the three-year budget cycle, the Ministry of Industry and Trade had tried to maintain the amount of financing needed to increase production and create new types of equipment in the framework of R&D, as well as to equalize prices in the market through a programme subsidizing discounts on Russian equipment.

The forum has become a platform for discussing not only the current situation, but also the prospects for the development of food machinery in the coming years, from improving state support and localization mechanisms to introducing advanced technologies and increasing the competitiveness of Russian manufacturers.

The conference programme of�Agroprodmash 2026�opened with the Forum on the Ingredients Industry: Regulations, Technological Challenges, Research and Innovation, organised by the Food Ingredients Producers Union and EXPOCENTRE AO.

Today, the development of the ingredients industry is a key to the sustainable operation and functioning of the food industry, and the main task in achieving the goals of technological sovereignty in the field of food security.

The forum participants are considering the development of the food ingredients market in the context of new regulatory requirements, technological transformation, and the demand for innovation.

The forum is divided into four tracks: Regulatory Field: Technical Regulations, Labeling, Standardization; Technological Challenges: Import Substitution, Investment and Strategic Sovereignty; Research and Innovation: New Ingredients, Safety Assessment and Tools for Their Application; and Consumer Trends and Dealing with Phobias about Ingredients.

The participants pay special attention to the issues of raw materials localization and market saturation with ingredients produced in Russia, as well as regulatory and technological aspects of the release of innovative components into circulation.

Robotics in food industry

The Conference on Robots in the Food Industry. The Code of Security and Profitability has opened within the conference programme of�Agroprodmash 2026. The event is organised by the Russian Association of Robotics (RAR) and EXPOCENTRE AO.

Today, robotics is becoming a practical tool for solving key production tasks such as compensating for personnel shortages in heavy and monotonous operations, increasing productivity and quality stability, reducing sanitary risks, reducing losses, and creating a reserve of capacity without proportional expansion of staff.

The central theme of the conference is the transition from single robotic cells to integrated solutions for food production: technological lines in which equipment, robots, machine vision systems, software, production data and personnel work as a single system. Special attention is paid to cooperation between manufacturers of food equipment and robotics companies, requirements for hygienic performance and safety, personnel transformation, support measures, and implementation economics.

The first block of the conference is devoted to the creation of turnkey robotic lines from the development of technical specifications and joint design to commissioning, service support and confirmation of KPIs. The participants discuss the distribution of responsibility between the line manufacturer, the integrator and the customer, standardization of interfaces, sanitary performance, assortment management, and the possibility of replicating standard solutions.

In the second part, there will be a panel session on the priorities of robotization of food production, increasing the productivity and sustainability of the industry, introducing robots into the digital contour of the enterprise, and developing Russian food engineering and industrial robotics.

The conference concludes with a case study session for customers based on the real experience of food companies. Agroprodmash is a key networking platform for the food processing industry. Here you can select equipment for a particular facility or complex project, compare solutions from different manufacturers, discuss upgrade of your equipment, find ingredients and packaging, and get advice on automation, food safety, refrigeration, storage, and logistics. The show’s advantage lies in the comprehensive presentation of the entire production chain from raw materials and ingredients to the release of finished products, packaging, quality control, cooling, storage, and logistics.

The show is keeping its well-defined structure in 2026 for the convenience of its visitors. This year the most trending sector is ready-to-eat food. The show will be complemented by a rich conference programme featuring various forums, congresses, conferences, discussions, workshops, and consulting centres devoted to such relevant topics as processing of meat, milk, confectionery and bakery production, ingredients, as well as digitalization, robotization, and refrigeration technologies.

A key event will be the Forum on Food Processing Machinery 2026: What is Going on in the Industry Now and What to Expect in the Future. It will be organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, EXPOCENTRE, and the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia.

Sergey Katyrin, President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke at the official opening ceremony of the show. According to him, almost all regions of Russia and regional chambers of commerce and industry have participated in the shaping of this year’s showcase, and the vast majority of exhibitors are Russian companies.

“One of the tracks that we consider very important for ourselves is the opportunity for our colleagues to participate in the numerous meetings, sessions and forums that will take place here. These include meetings with representatives of legislative and executive authorities on how the regulatory framework should be developed in the future in order to promote the development of Russian entrepreneurship,” said Sergey Katyrin. He also drew attention to the wide participation of research institutes and universities in the show, which opens up opportunities for transferring advanced technologies and developments to entrepreneurs.

The head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also emphasized that the exhibition features businesses from countries which are not the most friendly to Russia today, including Germany, France, and Poland: “This indicates a desire not only to work in the Russian market today, but also that these companies are striving to enter this market in the future.”

Alexander Dvoynykh, Chair at the Russian Federation Council Committee on Agricultural and Food Policy and Environmental Management, said that Russia\'s agriculture industry is a matter of national pride.

“The path that we have traveled in a fairly short period shows how we can mobilize in difficult conditions, and what truly food security, technological sovereignty and import substitution are. There is a serious merit of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in these achievements. This is a unique trade show that not only brings together manufacturers and promotes networking, but also offers proposals on legislative regulations. We are responding very promptly to these proposals and requests together with the government and the ministries, because our task is to ensure that legislation becomes a real engine and driver of the industry\'s development,” said the senator said.

According to Alexander Dvoynykh, the current number one challenge in the world is food shortages. Russia is one of the few countries that not only provides for itself, but also supplies food to more than 160 countries around the globe. “We see how, despite serious restrictions, the demand for Russian products is growing among the international community, as our manufacturers are replacing foreign companies that have found it unprofitable to work in Russia and today regret that they have lost a huge market,” he stressed.

“We understand what a difficult path these companies have had to go through, especially starting in 2022, the path of transformation, new challenges and at the same time new opportunities. Today, it is already clear that food industry enterprises are making full use of domestic equipment, expanding their product range and thus ensuring the country\'s food security. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, for its part, will continue to support and coordinate this work, develop financial instruments that are actively used by industry enterprises, and promote our food machinery industry in cooperation with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and EXPOCENTRE,” said the deputy minister.

Roman Miloradov, Deputy Head at the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, noted that products manufactured in Russia are becoming high-quality, safe, and competitive on the international market.

“Products are safe when they are manufactured using high-quality equipment that meets all standards and requirements. The recent trend is that supervisors are trying to help businesses rather than hinder them. Through the information systems of our service, we show where mistakes occur, respond to emerging problems, and try to advise,” emphasized Roman Miloradov.

Maxim Fateev, General Director at EXPOCENTRE, thanked the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russia Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Rosselkhoznadzor for their support of Agroprodmash.

“We, the EXPOCENTRE team, have done our best to make this show a success,” said Maxim Fateev. “Continuing the almost 70-year old traditions of our company, we have created conditions for the exhibitors to work comfortably, sign contracts, and network.”

Speaking about how the current edition differs from last year\'s, Maxim Fateev highlighted two points: the emergence of a new direction�ready-to-eat food�which is a topic of a significant part of the conference programme, and targeting small and medium-sized businesses. “A small business dictates what is needed for its profitability, for its consumers and its region, and leaves the show with ready-made solutions. It is very important that almost every stand has become a platform for workshops and meetings, where engineers explain how their equipment works,” said the general director of EXPOCENTRE. He invited all participants to Agroprodmash 2027, “It will be even more interesting! We are absolutely sure of it.”

The concept of the sector is the principle of ‘from a field right to a counter’ and integration of solutions in the field of packaging, sanitation, refrigeration, automation, digitalization, and logistics.

APM Packaging�will bring together 161 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, and Turkiye. Visitors will see equipment and materials for all segments of the food industry, including solutions for ready meals: vacuum packaging, packaging in a modified gas environment, automatic sealing lines, containers, disposable tableware, and labeling equipment.

APM Ingredients�will present about 250 brands. The sector will bring together solutions from both foreign suppliers, European and Asian, and Russian companies that will offer new developments and promising solutions in the field of food additives and spices. The sector regularly attracts technologists, marketers, and other professionals from the food industry, retail, and the hospitality industry. Key topics include localization of the raw material base, ‘clean label’, functional nutrition, natural and enzymatic components, premium product, and the development of recipes for ready meals.

APM DairyTech, APM Bottling�and�APM DrinkMash�will offer equipment for receiving and storing milk, pasteurization, separation and homogenization, production of cheeses and other dairy products, as well as processing lines for beverages and their bottling. Over 100 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, Italy, Serbia, Spain, and Turkiye participate in the sectors.

APM Bakery�and�APM SweetTech�will bring together about 100 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, India, Iran, Italy, and Turkiye. The sectors are focused on the upgrade of existing production facilities and the launch of new projects, including solutions for craft and whole-grain bread, semi-finished bakery products, snacks, functional and dietary products, products based on natural ingredients and ready-made mixtures.

Refrigeration equipment remains one of the most sought-after products of Agroprodmash. Speaking at the forum, Ilya Orsik, Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Construction Engineering at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that this event, held within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025, turned out to be very interesting, with poignant reports from participants that confirm that the industry is moving in the right direction. According to him, a close dialogue with the industry community, the active work of working subgroups and customer feedback help machine builders create advanced, automated and robotic equipment of high quality. “The session was extremely useful and showed that Russian food processing equipment is developing and ready to compete at a high level,” Ilya Orsik said.

Among other important events, industry professionals picked out the 15th International Meat Congress, the 3rd Russian Meeting of Directors for Food Industry Quality, the Conference on Ingredients for the Confectionery Industry, and the Conference on Russian Innovative Laboratory Equipment for the Agriculture Industry.
