Agroprodmash 2025 has confirmed its status as the leading technology platform for the food processing industry in Russia and the CIS countries.

Conference programme

The conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025 was rich and multi-level. It brought together leading industry professionals, business representatives, industry associations, and leading Russian universities under one roof.

The programme’s key event was the 9th Forum on Food Processing Machinery 2025. Growth in the Midst of Cooling. How to continue developing? It was organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia, and moderated by Konstantin Babkin, President at the Rosspetsmash Association.

Speaking at the forum, Ilya Orsik, Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Construction Engineering at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that this event, held within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025, turned out to be very interesting, with poignant reports from participants that confirm that the industry is moving in the right direction. According to him, a close dialogue with the industry community, the active work of working subgroups and customer feedback help machine builders create advanced, automated and robotic equipment of high quality. “The session was extremely useful and showed that Russian food processing equipment is developing and ready to compete at a high level,” Ilya Orsik said.

Among other important events, industry professionals picked out the 15th International Meat Congress, the 3rd Russian Meeting of Directors for Food Industry Quality, the Conference on Ingredients for the Confectionery Industry, and the Conference on Russian Innovative Laboratory Equipment for the Agriculture Industry.

Key topics of conference programme

Food processing machinery awaits its users

The Forum on Food Processing Machinery 2025 took place within the conference programme of�Agroprodmash 2025. The event was organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia.

The forum opened with a plenary session on production and market of agricultural machinery in Russia in 2025, results, conclusions and plans for 2026. It was chaired by�Konstantin Babkin, President at the Rosspetsmash Association.

Beginning his speech, Konstantin Babkin noted that Agroprodmash 2025 exhibition impresses with its vitality and businesslike spirit.

“We know that the show has grown by an impressive 30% compared to last year. Congratulations to all participants on the development of this project," said Mr. Babkin.

"Despite the difficult situation in the economy as a whole, food engineering is actively developing. Moreover, it has been developing for many years, despite the current market environment,” he continued.

Konstantin Babkin also offered a detailed analysis of the industry\'s development this year. Session participants also discussed government support measures and a development strategy for 2026. Reports were made by�Ilya Orsik, Deputy Head at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Machine Building of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade,�Evgenia Duda, Development Director at DVA+K NPO,�Dmitry Semenov, President at the Russian Union of Bakers,�Yury Ovchinikkov, Commercial Director at Unity-engineering,�Aleksandr Fedorov, Head of the Corporate Business Department at Rosagroleasing, and other experts of the industry.

After the plenary session, there were two sessions on what kind of food equipment consumers and engineering companies are waiting for in Russia, and on the products of Russian food equipment manufacturers. They offered presentations of solutions and new products from leading Russian companies.

The event was attended by representatives of agricultural machinery manufacturing plants, deputies of the Russian State Duma, the Russian Association of Rural and Farm Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives (AKKOR), the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and other business representatives.

This annual forum has already established itself as a key discussion platform for constructive dialogue between business and government.

Robotics solutions at Agroprodmash 2025

The Russian Association of Robotics (RAR) and EXPOCENTRE hold the Conference on Robots in the Food Industry within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025. �

The introduction of robotic solutions for the food industry market is not only a key factor in increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises, but is also a real solution to the problem of personnel shortage as it allows enterprises to maintain and increase production volumes even in conditions of shortage of specialists.

Today, the food industry is actively exploring the capabilities of robotics, taking one of the first places in terms of the number of robots used.

Speaking about trends in the robotization of food production, Anna Shavaleeva, a representative of Meridian Automation, a designer and manufacturer of robotic systems, outlined the main difficulties of robotization.

"This is a lack of own funds, since the introduction of robotics requires high initial investments. Outdated and unfitted premises. Lack of qualified professionals for maintenance. And the lack of a clear plan for the implementation of robotic solutions on the part of the customer,” said Anna Shavalleva.

The conference participants talked about the automation of current means of production, the prospects for robotization of food production, discussed some real cases, and analyzed the economic benefits of the introduction of robotic units.

The conference was attended by digitalization and robotics managers of different enterprises, and technologists and technical specialists of companies whose activities are related to food production, automation and robotics of the food processing industry.

Experts discuss production of ingredients in Russia

The Forum on Ingredients: Made in Russia has opened within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE and the Food Ingredients Producers Union.

The forum\'s programme includes discussions of a wide range of issues related to the prospects for the development of the market and domestic production of food ingredients.

The forum is moderated by�Tatiana Savenkova, President at the Food Ingredients Producers Union and Director at the Research Institute of Quality, Safety and Technologies of Specialised Food Products at Plekhanov Russian Economic University. Opening the forum, Tatiana Savenkova said, “Food ingredients and food additives are essential in the production of all food products. It is very difficult to produce food products without food additives, as they ensure safety and preserve technological characteristics.”

Today, the development of the ingredients industry is a key to sustainable operation and functioning of the food industry. The main task is to achieve the goals of technological sovereignty in the field of food security. The forum pays special attention to the issues of raw materials localization and market saturation with ingredients produced in Russia, information on investment projects with a high degree of readiness, and trends in the development of the ingredient industry until 2030.

The event is attended by representatives of executive authorities of the Russian federal and regional levels, heads of large manufacturing companies, agriculture experts, and representatives of development institutions. Advanced technologies for meat industry discussed at Agroprodmash 2025

The Association of Meat Processors hold the Session on Advanced Equipment and Digital Technology for the Meat Industry to Increase Productivity and Competitiveness within the conference programme of the 30th anniversary edition of Agroprodmash. The event was moderated by the Association�s Director Ekaterina Luchkina.

The discussion participants included representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Center for Industrial Agroanalytics of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Centre for the Development of Perspective Technologies, as well as enterprises that develop and manufacture equipment and technologies, and robotic and digital solutions for the food and processing industry. There were presentations of unique patented technological solutions. �

The session also provided up-to-date information on conducting experiments and introducing the mandatory Chestny Znak labeling for meat products and semi-finished products, and provided recommendations on the choice of solutions and equipment.

Any equipment must be handled and washed. The participants learned what is new in the field of sanitation, and what tools and means are currently used to maintain a high level of food safety. The other important topic was the use of digital solutions.

The participants also learned about new technological solutions for the industry, innovative developments and cost optimization methods, and received practical recommendations.

The analytical block provided participants with an understanding of the current state of the food and processing industries, the state of the raw material base, forecasts and development prospects, and changes in consumer behavior.

Confectionery and bakery masterclasses

Agroprodmash 2025�features a series of confectionery and bakery masterclasses organised by EXPOCENTRE and Russian State Research Institute of Baking Industry.

A masterclass on professional secrets of creating the perfect gingerbread opened the series. Its presenters,�Viktoria Fomichenko, an engineer and technologist at Bread Baking Academy of Russian State Research Institute of Baking Industry,�Tatiana Fedosenko, a researcher at Russian State Research Institute of Baking Industry, and�Aleksander Mikhalev, a founder of Silicone Prom, showed the intricacies of classical and modern gingerbread technology and the secrets of the perfect taste and long shelf life to bakers, confectioners, and technologists.

During all exhibition days, a master class on modern baking solutions: high-protein and extrusion flour will demonstrate bread made of high-protein wheat flour and cold-swollen wheat flour: two unique Russian-made products combining useful properties and technological capabilities for bakers.

A masterclass on gluten-free products. Production specifics, mistakes and solutions. Its participants will learn about mixtures for the production of gluten-free bread and pastries and receive recommendations on the technological process of gluten-free baking.

A masterclass on custard types of sourdough bread. Specialists from Russian State Research Institute of Baking Industry will talk about the specifics of the brewing process, methods of dough preparation of custard types of bread using the case of legendary products such as Borodinsky, and share the secrets of the delicatessen breads developed at the Institute.

A masterclass from shape to taste: bread technologies for toasts and sandwiches. The technology of making smooth toasts, with a delicate and elastic crumb, a thin soft crust, and stability in slicing.

A masterclass on defects in baked products. Mistakes and solutions. Its attendees will learn why the result in bakery production does not always meet expectations: bread may turn out with insufficient volume, uneven porosity, rough crust or a specific taste. How can the cause of the defect be determined and what can be done to ensure that the product is stable in quality? The participants will receive practical checklists for the diagnostics of bread defects.

The opening ceremony of the 30th edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment, Technologies, Raw Materials and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry ��Agroprodmash 2025�� took place today at Crocus Expo, Moscow.

The show is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Agroprodmash is recognized as the best exhibition in Russia in all nominations in the Food Industry: Equipment and Ingredients category (according to the Russian National Exhibition Rating).

In the year of its 30th�anniversary, Agroprodmash occupies over 55 thousand square metres to welcome 853 companies from 22 countries, including 615 Russian manufactures, supplier and integrators. Of 238 foreign exhibitors China is heading the list with 144 exhibitors, with Turkiye with 27, Belarus with 23, and Italy with 18 following it.

The sector-like showcase of Agroprodmash demonstrates equipment and technologies for the entire chain of food processing from production of raw materials and ingredients to finished products, their packaging, quality control, cooling, storage, and logistics solutions. The show offers a variety of competitive developments for meat, dairy, bakery and confectionery industries, bottling, beverages, packaging and labeling of finished products, food ingredients and spices, as well as products for cross-industry purposes.

The conference programme offers various relevant forums and special sessions with government, science and business representatives. The programme has opened with the 15th�International Meat Congress: Research, Current Trends and New Segments, organised by Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences and EXPOCENTRE.

The congress was moderated by the centre’s leading researchers:�Anastasia Semenova, Deputy Director for Scientific Work, and�Yulia Kuzlyakina, Head of the Technical Regulation Department.

The tone of the congress was set by the introduction speech by Olga Kaityalidi, Head of Analytical Projects at the Marketing Research Agency of Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems. She believes that the market consolidation is in its early stages today. In about 5�7 years, the whole market will be completely different, with other players.

“The market is oversaturated now,” Olga Kaityalidi said. "It is not growing. There are individual growing segments, but not the global meat processing market. Today, consumption is already 70 kilograms per person, and there is nowhere to grow further physically and physiologically. In these conditions, federal retail chains are ‘reducing the shelf.’ This means that the competition will grow a lot. In response to this growing competition, manufacturers, especially medium and small ones, must have their own answer.”

Experts discussed breakthrough technologies, consumer trends, the use of AI in cattle growing animal husbandry and processing, innovations in packaging, and the development of a single cold chain, and much more.

During the congress, the centre\'s experts not only presented unique developments, but also led discussions about the future of the food industry, making presentations on the most relevant topics.

Background of Agroprodmash

In the mid-1990s, Russia saw an urgent need to develop domestic food production. Thus, the industry needed advanced high-tech equipment and machinery. Agroprodmash was launched by EXPOCENTRE in 1996 to become a timely response to this urgent request of the food processing industry. More than 300 companies participated in the first edition of the show. Every year it has grown and developed, and over three decades it has become the best platform for solving practical production problems and studying promising trends in the food industry.

In the year of its 30th anniversary, Agroprodmash welcomes�853 companies from 22 countries. Despite the challenges of 2025, EXPOCENTRE has once again managed to create a large-scale and rich showcase of equipment and machinery, some of it in operation. The show offers solutions for all branches of the food industry from ingredients to equipment for full-cycle of production, as well as spare parts and accessories.

Agroprodmash was recognized as the best exhibition in Russia in all nominations in the Food Industry: Equipment and Ingredients category (according to the Russian National Exhibition Rating).

Features of the 2025 edition

“The anniversary edition of Agroprodmash is a show of solutions ‘in operation’. At the new venue, we have maintained a clear structure and at the same time expanded the opportunities for demonstrating equipment. This year, Agroprodmash will take place at an alternative venue for the first time: the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. But the show will retain its usual logic of product sectors:

Hall 15: equipment for processing meat, poultry, fish; casings; refrigerating and freezing equipment
Hall 14: packaging solutions; automation; storage, weighing and measuring equipment; sanitation and hygiene; food safety; waste recycling; accessories

The new venue has expanded the demonstration opportunities: major players have increased their stand area, and new exhibitors have joined the display.

Show highlights

APM MeatTech�is one of the largest sectors of Agroprodmash. This year it brings together 128 participants, which is 5% more than in 2024. In recent years, it has demonstrated a significant increase in the positions of domestic equipment manufacturers and engineering companies. In addition, the number of companies from China has also significantly increased. At the same time, the showcase includes products from leading global brands. Thus, Agroprdmash 2025 once again becomes a place of concentration of production experience, advanced know-how and promising ideas for implementation in meat processing plants.

APM Packaging�demonstrates an increase in the area of stands and the number of pieces of equipment on display. One of the reasons is the expansion of partnership between Russian and Chinese manufacturers. More than 150 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, and Turkiye show packaging equipment and materials for the food industry at Agroprodmash 2025.

Agroprodmash demonstrates a wide range of robots and applied automated solutions. They include collaborative robots, robotic modules and systems for processing raw materials and manufacturing finished products, depanners and stacker robots, robotic complexes for automating packaging processes, palletizing robots, and warehouse robots.

APM Ingredients�gained 14% compared to 2024 (111 participants). Ingredients and functional mixtures for meat products are still dominant. However, in recent years, the sector has expanded its product range for dairy, confectionery products, and beverages. This year, there will be presentations of Russian innovative biotechnological solutions for food ingredients, including innovative ingredients for production of healthy food that has passed clinical trials.

APM Bakery�and�APM SweetTech�(about 100 companies) offer the widest range of products for confectionery and bakery production. Masterclasses and presentations of equipment in operation will add to the show’s great atmosphere.

The number of participants has also increased significantly in the dairy and beverage equipment sectors�APM DairyTech,�APM Bottling�and�APM DrinkMash. This year they welcome more than 130 companies (10%+ to 2024). The key to the growth of the dairy sector is the high relevance of the technological and technical agenda of the show.

APM Refrigeration�has multiplied its figures. A major part of the showcase is made up of companies involved in the design of refrigeration systems, supply of equipment, as well as its installation, commissioning and subsequent maintenance. The exhibition also presents manufacturers of compressor units, heat exchangers, automation systems for refrigeration equipment, manufacturers of equipment for the construction of vegetable storages, refrigerating chambers, and storage facilities.

APM Automation Solutions�demonstrates sustainable development, meeting the steadily growing demand for solutions for automation, digitalization, robotics, and software. It has grown more than twice in three years. This year, 65 companies from Russia, Belarus, China and South Korea will present their solutions.

The sectors of sanitation, food safety, and fruit and vegetable processing equipment have also grown.

Key topics and trends

The show has always reflected the industry’s priorities. The anniversary edition is no exception. This year it focuses on technological sovereignty, product quality and safety, as well as automation and robotics for food production. The display and conference programme reflect the current demand for digitalization, the introduction of AI/IoT solutions, and the development of aftersale services.

Conference programme: forums, congresses, masterclasses

The conference programme will offer various relevant forums and special sessions with government, science and business representatives. The agenda includes current issues of meat processing, dairy, confectionery and bakery industries, ingredients, digitalization and robotics, and refrigeration technologies.

The programme’s key event will be the Forum on Food Processing Machinery, organised by the Rosspetsmash Association.

Marina Afonina, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, has sent a welcome address to the 30th�anniversary edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment, Technologies, Raw Materials and Ingredients for Food Processing Industry ��Agroprodmash 2025.

Today, the agriculture industry has unique prospects for innovative and high-tech development. The use of advanced technologies and the use of high-quality ingredients in food production are among the key drivers of growth, expansion of product range, and satisfaction of changing consumer preferences.

“Agroprodmash has long established itself as an effective platform that annually provides industry professionals with every opportunity to get acquainted with the latest achievements and innovative developments of Russian and leading foreign manufacturers of equipment and technologies for all segments of the food processing industry.
