The first exhibition of agricultural machinery in the USSR

Beginning with the industry of the USSR in 1921, as well as syndicates and trusts begin to organize exhibitions of their own products with the aim of acquainting specialists with the achievements of foreign manufacturers, with the latest trends in the development of technology.

The Council of People's Commissars adopted a decision on the creation of a single exhibition area, which approved Ulyanov (Lenin).

The first All-Russian handicraft-industrial exhibition of agricultural achievements was held in 1923 in Moscow. This event became a highlight for the organization of regular exhibitions of agricultural machinery in the USSR: All-Union Agricultural Exhibition VSHV, then VDNH, and the modern VVC.

The purpose of the first exhibition of agricultural machinery in the USSR was a demonstration of the achievements, as well as reserves and opportunities for the growth of agriculture, it is:

• show through the representatives of artisanal and industrial production new ideas in the development of agricultural machinery for the processing of products and land processing;


• definition of additional opportunities for the agricultural sector of the country for the processing of products and its further export;


• acquaintance of people's masses with previous achievements in technology and science, realization of ideas in practice.

Participants of the first exhibitions in the USSR were representatives of all regions and the republic of the RSFSR.

Exhibitions of agricultural machinery in Russia

Beginning in 1991, reorganization began at exhibition sites in Russia, which was directly connected with the collapse of the USSR. Territories of many exhibitions became non-designated.

Since 2000, the state has been supporting the conduct of exhibition events. The government began to participate in the coordination of exhibition committees.

Gradually, the appearance of the exhibition pavilions, the functions of the organization and design of exhibitions became a full-fledged performance of specialized companies. More than 2,000 exhibitions are held annually in Russia.

Agroprodmash - exhibition of agricultural machinery in Moscow

"Agroprodmash" is one of the largest scale exhibitions in Moscow and Russia as a whole. The event will be held by the exhibition company JSC "Expocenter".

• technologies and equipment for the production of sausages and meat semi-finished products;
