Experts discuss development of ingredients industry

The conference programme of Agroprodmash 2026 opened with the Forum on the Ingredients Industry: Regulations, Technological Challenges, Research and Innovation, organised by the Food Ingredients Producers Union and EXPOCENTRE AO.

Today, the development of the ingredients industry is a key to the sustainable operation and functioning of the food industry, and the main task in achieving the goals of technological sovereignty in the field of food security.

The forum participants are considering the development of the food ingredients market in the context of new regulatory requirements, technological transformation, and the demand for innovation.

The forum is divided into four tracks: Regulatory Field: Technical Regulations, Labeling, Standardization; Technological Challenges: Import Substitution, Investment and Strategic Sovereignty; Research and Innovation: New Ingredients, Safety Assessment and Tools for Their Application; and Consumer Trends and Dealing with Phobias about Ingredients.

The participants pay special attention to the issues of raw materials localization and market saturation with ingredients produced in Russia, as well as regulatory and technological aspects of the release of innovative components into circulation.

The forum organisers are confident that an in-depth expert assessment of the state and trends in the main ingredient segments will help food manufacturers better navigate the world of innovation and new technological solutions for various industries.
