Food processing machinery awaits its users

The Forum on Food Processing Machinery 2025 took place within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2025. The event was organised by the Rosspetsmash Association with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Union of Machine Engineers of Russia.

The forum opened with a plenary session on production and market of agricultural machinery in Russia in 2025, results, conclusions and plans for 2026. It was chaired by Konstantin Babkin, President at the Rosspetsmash Association.

Beginning his speech, Konstantin Babkin noted that Agroprodmash 2025 exhibition impresses with its vitality and businesslike spirit.

“We know that the show has grown by an impressive 30% compared to last year. Congratulations to all participants on the development of this project," said Mr. Babkin.

"Despite the difficult situation in the economy as a whole, food engineering is actively developing. Moreover, it has been developing for many years, despite the current market environment,” he continued.

Konstantin Babkin also offered a detailed analysis of the industry's development this year. Session participants also discussed government support measures and a development strategy for 2026. Reports were made by Ilya Orsik, Deputy Head at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Machine Building of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Evgenia Duda, Development Director at DVA+K NPO, Dmitry Semenov, President at the Russian Union of Bakers, Yury Ovchinikkov, Commercial Director at Unity-engineering, Aleksandr Fedorov, Head of the Corporate Business Department at Rosagroleasing, and other experts of the industry.

After the plenary session, there were two sessions on what kind of food equipment consumers and engineering companies are waiting for in Russia, and on the products of Russian food equipment manufacturers. They offered presentations of solutions and new products from leading Russian companies.

The event was attended by representatives of agricultural machinery manufacturing plants, deputies of the Russian State Duma, the Russian Association of Rural and Farm Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives (AKKOR), the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and other business representatives.

This annual forum has already established itself as a key discussion platform for constructive dialogue between business and government.
