Energy efficient technologies for refrigeration industry

The Conference on Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for the Food and Food Processing Industry become a significant event for representatives of the food processing industry, agriculture, wholesale and retail. The event was held within the Agroprodmash 2022 exhibition by EXPOCENTRE AO and Rossoyuzkholodprom in partnership with the Refrigeration Industry web portal (Business Marketing).

The conference moderator Yuri Dubrovin, Chairman of the Board of Rossoyuzkholodprom and an academician of the International Academy of Refrigeration, noted in his opening remarks that the event identifies the best solutions for the refrigeration industry. "Artificial refrigeration is about ensuring food security. Today, a lot of activities are carried out by the Rossoyuzkholodprom. We are trying to explain what can really be done and what we should start doing. These decisions are constantly communicated to union members," the moderator noted.

Sergey Pleshanov, Technical Director of Land Management Company, spoke about import substitution of refrigeration and heat-exchange equipment using the example of the products of the Russian plant Elementum. "In the context of equipment supply restrictions, import substitution is a hot topic. Our company has a real opportunity to show what we can do. We service about 6 thousand facilities and offer turnkey projects - we do design, installation, selection and supply of equipment," said the speaker.

Sergey Zakharov, Commercial Director of LU-VE, presented the product range of the SEST-LUVE plant in Lipetsk. He spoke about the opportunities for cooperation with the plant and drew attention to successful products and technologies of refrigeration equipment and components manufacturers.

The conference participants considered the selection and operation of refrigeration equipment at industrial refrigeration facilities: food production facilities, warehouses, shops with centralised refrigeration systems. 

Speakers from leading refrigeration companies talked about reducing capital expenditure on the refrigeration and air conditioning system, building a reliable cold chain for a food processing plant, and refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants. The speeches were made by Ilya Malafeev, Head of the CryoFrost Academy, Yuri Churikov, Director of Refrigeration Engineering Department of Ridan, Dmitry Batenkin, Deputy Director for Commerce of INGENIUM, Ilya Novikov, Project Manager of Food and Processing Industry of RUSENERGOMONTAZH, Corresponding Member of International Academy of Refrigeration.
