Refrigeration industry searching for effective food industry solutions
The 3rd Conference on Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for the Food and Food Processing Industry, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO together with the Russian Union of Refrigeration Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom), and the Refrigeration Industry web portal (Business Marketing OOO), took place at Agroprodmash 2021 at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.
Rossoyuzkholodprom Board Chairman and Member of the International Academy of Refrigeration Yury Dubrovin moderated the conference.
Khristofor Jibgashvili, director of Ingenium specializing in the design of engineering refrigeration systems and the production of industrial refrigeration equipment based on natural refrigerants, named three main world trends to be kept in mind by refrigeration industry enterprises in their development. These are economic efficiency, compliance with the law, and ecological safety, he said.
Representatives of refrigeration industry majors told the audience how to cut capital costs of refrigeration and air conditioning, to raise the efficiency of refrigeration equipment, and to build a solid refrigeration system of a food enterprise.
Specialists from CryoFrostEngineering and Globus noted the increasing significance of the reduction of operating costs of large agro-industrial facilities. They explained how technologies and diverse layouts could boost the reliability and safety of CO2-based refrigeration systems and outperform classic refrigeration units by overall energy efficiency.
Conference speakers analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of refrigeration systems operating on freon, ammonia and carbon dioxide, made recommendations as to which refrigerant to choose, and discussed new technologies of refrigeration equipment manufacturers and other issues.
Conference participants said they learned a lot of practical value for the food industry, agriculture, and retail and wholesale trade.
