The International Exhibition
October 12-16, 2009 Agroprodmash’2009, the 14th International Exhibition for Equipment, Machinery and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry, took place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds. This largest show in Russia where world leading manufacturers of the food and processing industry demonstrated the latest scientific and technical achievements, advanced technologies, modern machinery and equipment was organized and successfully held by Expocentre with the assistance from the Russian Federation Agriculture Ministry, and under the patronage of the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Moscow City Government and the Board of Chief Executives of the CIS member-states Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Agroprodmash, the main industry event is honored with all exhibition rewards: labels of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).
This year the total exhibition space amounted over 40 000 sq meters. The Show gathered over 500 foreign and nationalleading companies of the industry. In spite of the economic crisis the key participants have remained in all sectors. Furthermore, more than 100 new exponents took part in the exhibition. Agroprodmash’2009 showed that participants had begun adapting themselves to new conditions, and actively used the exhibition opportunities to promote new technologies and products.
Companies from 33 countries participated in the Show. This fact speaks of the international status of the Exhibition.
National expositions were presented by France and Germany.
The largest Russian manufacturers and suppliers of food equipment, developers of technological solutions displayed modern machinery and innovations. CO, LTD (MYCOM), CAREL S.R.L., STARFROST LTD and others demonstrated the latest world achievements necessary for the national agro-industrial complex development.
The Agroprodmash’2009 exposition wasdivided into 14 salons covering all branches of the food and processing industry. Such an arrangement simplified navigation through the exhibition and helped the participants to draw maximum clients and partners to their expositions.
The Show was attended by about 18 000 visitors,95% of whom were specialists of the industry.
Within the Show theCareer Centre was arranged by Expocentre and AFINA Recruiting Agency. Free consultations on employment issues and selection of personnel in the food industry were held for the Exhibition participants and visitors.
This year Agroprodmash’2009 was held under the motto – “ANTI-CRISIS SOLUTIONS FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY”. This was taken into account in its saturated business events programme. The industry experts, specialists from the largest companies as well as representatives of the federal authority took part in the forums and conferences.
The2nd International investment forum and a conference – the Russian Food Industry: development peculiarities and attraction of investments during the economic crisis organized by the Russian Federation Agriculture Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation became one of the key events. Leaders of ministries and departments, investment companies and banks; scientists, Russian and foreign key experts; companies specialists dealing with the foodstuff manufacturing, processing and selling as well as recycling of wastes, manufacturing and selling of equipment for the food and processing industry participated the Forum work.
Presented reports comprised the issues concerning comparative analysis of the Russian and European agrarian-food system government control, overall results of the Agroindustrial Complex branches work, and the Russian and world food industry development prospects. Issues of investments as a main source of the food industry development were discussed at one of the Forum sessions. Proposed strategic approaches and tactical solutions on retaining and developing the foodstuffs manufacture made an important contribution to reforming the domestic food industry. There is no doubt that the Forum will promote the Russian food market development and competitiveness raise of national enterprises of the food industry.
The4th All-Russian Technological Forum – Anti-crisis Solutions in the Food Industry Technologies and Equipment was organized and successfully held by the Imperia Company and Expocentre. Companies’ executives, marketing experts, technologists and principal specialists of the companies manufacturing foodstuff as well as companies delivering equipment and technologies took part in the event. The Forum was devoted to problems and prospects of the Russian economy development under conditions of the world economic crisis. Issues concerning possible ways of crisis management as well as prospects of the food industry equipment and technologies market development, and methods and means of investment in equipment in the crisis situation were discussed at the meeting.
At thematic focus-sessions speakers proposed anti-crisis solutions in technologies and equipment to keep the product quality and resource economy. Issues of the production efficiency under conditions of the price and resources increase, assortment policy and improvement of the internal logistics in the foodstuffs production were discussed. At the Forum a special attention was focused on the packing industry issues.
Conference - Role of Branch Associations in development of the Russian Packing Industry- was arranged. Within the bounds of the Conference an opening meeting of the National Packers’ Confederation was held. Cardinal problems and trends of the packing machine-building development were discussed during theround table with participation of representatives of PACKMASH, Association of Manufacturers of Packing and Processing Equipment, and the National Packers’ Confederation.
Seminar - Cold Supply Technology for the Agro-industrial Complex-, conferences and presentations of participant companies, and a number of other events were held successfully within Agroprodmash’2009.
The business support programme was traditionally terminated in summing-up and rewarding winners of the International Contest the Best Equipment for the Agro-industrial Complex arranged by the Russian Federation Agriculture Ministry, Expocentre and the RF CCI ANO Soyuzexpertiza. The Contest commission estimated consumer qualities of the submitted equipment samples.
GRAND PRIX, the highest prize of the Contest was awarded to Molochnye Mashiny ZAO (Kirov) in the Best Equipment for the Agro-industrial Complex nomination.
Silver medals were awarded to Irtysh OmPO FGUP (Omsk), Konstruktorskoye byuro avtomaticheskykh liniy (Klimovsk, Moscow Region), and INTERMIK-RUSTEH OOO (Moscow). MoloPak (Moscow) was decorated with a bronze medal.
Golden and silver medals were presented to MoloPak (Moscow) and PentoPak (Ukraine) in the Best Packing forthe Agro-industrial Complex nomination.
MOGUNTIA-INTERRUS became a winner in the Best Ingredients forthe Agro-industrial Complex nomination. Millisekundnye Tehnologii (Moscow) won a prize in the Best Innovation Technologies forthe Agro-industrial Complex nomination.
Undoubtedly, such contests stimulate development and manufacture of advanced machinery for the Agro-industrial Complex, and promote the domestic foodstuffs competitiveness raise and quality improvement.
Agroprodmash’2009 has demonstrated a complete market review of the machine building products for the agricultural sector, new progress trends in all sectors of the Russian and world food and processing industry market, thereby denying or corroborating experts’ forecast.
The next International Exhibition, Agroprodmash’2010 will take place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on October 10-15, 2010.
