Post Release: Agroprodmash'2011 International Exhibition

The 16 International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry Agroprodmash'2011 was held successfully at Expocentre Fairgrounds (Moscow, Russia) on 10-14 October 2011.

The exhibition showcased the latest achievements in engineering and technology for the dairy industry, meat industry, baking industry, grain-processing industry and other basic industries, as well as food preserving equipment for food storage and transportation.

The exhibition was held by Expocentre with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow City Government.

The exhibition has got awards of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, which proves its high international reputation and significance for the Russian agribusiness.

Agroprodmash'2011 welcomed 683 industry-leading companies from Russia and the world. The total exhibition space of the event topped 55 000 sq. m.

The exhibitors represented 35 countries, which shows that the event enjoys high international status. Germany and France took part in the event on the national level.

Germany presented its national pavilion at the exhibition for the fourth time. The participation of German manufacturers was arranged by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology of Germany. Speaking at a press conference, Fritz Johannes, the Federal Ministry official, highlighted aims of the German exhibitors and specific features of the German pavilion, where they put on display innovative equipment and machinery for various sectors of the agribusiness and the meat industry in the first place. With Expocentre's high-tech venue facilities, they were able to demonstrate their exhibits in action and to show how the food is processed. This high-tech equipment will certainly ensure high quality of produce in terms of energy efficiency, environment protection, recycling secondary waste etc, which is crucial for the development of the Russian market.

The newest achievements from across the world were showcased by foreign companies such as AGROVO HANDELSGES, NORBERT SHALLER, MATIMEX, BERTSCH-LASKA; UMP «KOMPO»; BEGARAT, ORLIMEX, GEA CONVENIENCE FOOD SYSTEMS; BK GUILINI, FRANS VERMEE, HARTMANN; CABINPLANT; INOXPA TRADING INTERNATIONAL SL, REGIS; ECI LIMITED; TRANSFAIRE INDUSTRIE; AWEMA, TIPPER TIE ALPINA, ULMA PACKAGING, MULTIVAC, OMRON ELECTRONICS, SEALED AIR CRYOVAC, KOSTA SWEETMACHINES, BOSCH PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY, MOGUNTIA, ALMI, ROVANI, VOITH PAPER, ICE GROUP, THERMOFIN, JOHNSON CONTROLS, AAT-CARTONFREEZER, PPS SVIDNIK, KOMETOS, SFOGGIATECH, INDEX 6 and many others.

The Agroprodmash exhibition continues to grow both in terms of quantity and quality. This year saw the expansion of feature salons and cross-sector areas showcasing indispensable solutions for every manufacturer of food and beverages.

The Meat, Poultry and Fish Processing Equipment feature area showed considerable growth this year and alongside this centrepiece feature of the show other sectors of the exhibition also expanded. Among them are: Ingredients, Additives, Seasoning; Confectionary and Bakery Equipment; Equipment for Liquid Food and Beverages.

The Salon of Packaging and Packing Equipment became larger this year. It featured major brands of the sector including: MULTIVAC, ISHIDA EUROPE, ECI LIMITED, ULMA PACKAGING, and OMAG.

The Agroprodmash-Komplekt'2011 Salon, showcasing parts, pumps and pumping equipment, units and materials for the food processing industry, has grown 15% on the previous year. New major exhibitors of the Salon were Sfoggiatech (Italy) and Sick Ag (Germany).

VISITORS

Agroprodmash'2011 welcomed over 17 000 visitors, with total attendance reaching 23 890.

PROGRAMME OF BUSINESS-RELATED EVENTS

The programme of events revealed the interest of professionals in the exhibition. Agroprodmash'2011 was a perfect platform for key professional events. As part of the programme specialists were able to discuss important issues facing Russian and global agribusiness.

The programme featured the following events:

- The 6th International Technologic Forum "Equipment. Technologies. Innovations", organized by Imperia LTD with support from the Public Council under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the National Diary Producers' Union.

- The Meat Congress "Development Priorities. Foundations of Cost-Effectiveness. Competitiveness. Changes in Food Law." The Congress was organized by the Gorbatov All-Russian Meat Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Following the tradition, Agromprodmash'2011 was a venue where the winners of the Best Equipment for Agribusiness Award were announced. The competition was organized by the RF Ministry of Agriculture, ANO Soyuzexpertiza, the Agroservice Company and Expocentre. There were 4 categories to the competition: the Best Equipment for Agribusiness, the Best Packaging for Agribusiness, the Best Ingredients for Agribusiness and the Best Innovative Technologies for Agribusiness.

Agroprodmash'2011 gave a comprehensive overview of the agricultural engineering market; it showed market trends in the Russian and global food and food processing industries.

Industry specialists and businessmen, major Russian and foreign manufacturers were able to viewed a wide array of equipment and technologies for all sectors of the food industry, they met new business partners and made mutually beneficial deals.
