Food industry unions choose Agroprodmash for their main events

The 8th Russian Meeting of Owners and Top Executives of Meat Enterprises, held at Expocentre Fairgrounds, has become a major event of the Agroprodmash 2021 conference programme. The event is traditionally held during the exhibition by the National Union of Meat Processors with the participation of prominent consumer market experts, top managers and owners of meat processing companies from various regions of Russia.

In her opening remarks, Ekaterina Luchkina, Executive Director of the National Union of Meat Processors, thanked Agroprodmash 2021 for the opportunity to hold the All-Russia meeting of industry representatives offline and in compliance with epidemiological safety measures, as professional live communication was very much missing during the pandemic.   

In the course of the keynote speeches and discussion, the meat processors discussed a wide range of topics related to the status and prospects for further development of the raw meat market in a pandemic and post-pandemic environment.

The 1st Russian Convention of Turkey Producers has become another significant event of the Agroprodmash exhibition. The organiser of the event is the National Association of Turkey Producers, recently established in our country.

Opening the congress, Andrey Kovalev, President of the Association, noted that turkey production in the Russian Federation has increased significantly over the past year. For domestic turkey farmers, the time has come when they need to unite and work out common goals for the further effective development of their industry. This is necessary for interaction with state authorities, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rosselkhoznadzor, veterinary services and other structures. "We see our tasks as further developing the export potential of turkey meat, the breeding base, the inclusion of turkey enterprises in state support programmes, as well as interaction with friendly industry unions," the head of the association stressed.

The day before, the Panel of Fruit and Vegetable Industry Associations took place. On October 6, the Conference on Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for the Food and Food Processing Industry, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the Russian Union of Refrigeration Enterprises (Rossoyuzkholodprom) and the Refrigeration Industry web portal, will be held. On the next day, the Rosspetsmash Association and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will hold the 5^th Forum on Food Processing Machinery “Russian food processing machinery: how to increase the growth rate?”.
