Agroprodmash visitors seek new knowledge

10 / 10 / 2019

Representatives of various sectors of the food and processing industries view the Agroprodmash 2019 international exhibition, which takes place at Expocentre Fairgrounds these days, is not just the biggest demonstration of achievements of the domestic and foreign agricultural sector of Russia and Eastern Europe but also as an efficient communication platform and a source of new knowledge.

The Agroprodmash 2019 supporting programme features a series of educational events where exhibitors, industry professionals, and company heads from various sectors of the food industry can share their practices and receive new information for dealing with practical production issues and even undergoing professional development.

The Russian Scientific Research and Technology Institute for Poultry Industry, the Russian Poultry Union, and Expocentre AO have organised the exhibition's first poultry processing panel debate dedicated to technical regulations for poultry products and topical issues of food security and quality control (to watch the video go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N46hosiaXME).

During the debate, views on production and business development issues were exchanged between CEOs and specialists of poultry farms and factories, speakers, and industry professionals. Disputable issues were also brought up. Panel participants said what was done to avoid mistakes in technological decisions, choice of equipment, and provision of product safety, and to prevent excessive production costs.

Confectioners also had a detailed discussion of technical regulations. The Russian Scientific Research Institute of Confectionery Industry, an affiliate of the Gorbatov Federal Research Centre for Food Systems, organised a panel debate on "How to Reconcile Ideas of Marketers with Technical Regulations. Authenticity and Methods of Verifying Distinctive and Identifying Features of Confectionary Products."

Participants in the conference on Refrigeration Industry: Effective Solutions for Food Companies held by Rossoyuzkholodprom specialists also learned a lot. The specialists presented an expert analysis of refrigeration systems' operation, economically feasible solutions for refrigeration systems of food industry enterprises, and other issues of practical value.

This is not the first Agroprodmash exhibition to invite visitors to the ProIngredient School of Product Engineering. The School offers a three-day professional development course for food industry engineers regarding the use of ingredients and legislative regulation on the subject "Use of Food Additives, Flavorings and Technological Aides in Food Production. International and Russian Laws. Safety Issues." The course was prepared with the assistance of leading food and processing industry research centres, relevant colleges and universities, and acknowledged industry experts.

Students of the ProIngredient School of Product Engineer receive a state-recognised document (a professional development certificate) about attendance of the coaching seminar, "Use of Ingredients in the Food Industry. International and Russian Laws. Safety Issues." (to watch the video go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXgmLr_xcfI ).
