Participants in the 9th All-Russian Forum on Personnel in the Food Industry, held at Expocentre Fairgrounds in the framework of the Agroprodmash’2014 Exhibition on the 6th of October, will be looking for ways to optimize the business and overcome staff shortage in anticipation of the predicted economic crisis.
The Forum organized by the IMPERIA congress and exhibition company is designed for CEOs and executive directors of the food industry. Personnel directors of manufacturing companies and suppliers of processing equipment as well as managers and HR specialists were invited to participate. According to the market participants, staffing issues in the food industry will rise quite sharply in the near future due to profound economic changes that will occur in the Russian food market after the imposition of sanctions and a ban on food imports from the United States and the EU.
Indicators of human resource capacity of the Russian industry were not encouraging in recent years: the number of young professionals continues to decline, “veterans” of the old school retire, and there is a distinct lack of so needed “middle age executives”. But to understand this situation is not enough - the actual numbers and a way out should be seen. The country's leading analysts will give a specific assessment of the situation and outlook for the coming years during the event.
Experts believe that despite the short-term rise for domestic producers, in the long term the decline is expected. It means that it is necessary to optimize the business now, starting with personnel. International experience shows that to save the production it is necessary to attract temporary workers, combine their competences, replace inefficient managers. Top recruiters will share their expertise in attracting appropriate applicants.
